; This file explains how to set up Windows to use the
; Bitstream Charter Roman typeface.
;
; Lines beginning with semicolons are comments. Comments may not
; contain an equal sign.
;
; To use this soft font from within a MS-Windows application, you must
; add part of this file to your WIN.INI file. Always back up your WIN.INI
; before modifying it. You must also have a PostScript Printer, and add the
; following under the
; [Printer_Name,Port] heading:
; and
; softfonts[equals sign]X, where X is the number of soft fonts you have.
;
; You must also create a font directory where soft fonts will reside.
; e.g. C:\FONTS or C:\PS_FONTS (for PostScript Fonts, as opposed to
; a directory for HP/PCL fonts).
;
; Then, simply add the following underneath the "softfonts" subheading,
; substituting numerals for the variables A, B, C, and D. If this is
; your first soft font set of soft fonts, , make them 1, 2, 3, and 4.
; If it is you second set, make them 5, 6, 7, and 8.
;
; NOTE: only put the "softfonts" subheading in ONCE.
;
; EXAMPLE:
;
: If you have 2 soft fonts, your [Printer_Name,Port] heading might look like
; this, without the semicolons
;
[PostScript,LPT1]

; Windows will automagically add the soft fonts, with
; their names, under your font choices in the application.
; It will also download them to your printer as needed.
;
; Note:For PageMaker, you may want to rename your PM.CNF file,
; the PageMaker configuration file. It will be re-created as
; soon as you run PageMaker, and it will have the new fonts.
; Now that you understand all there is to know about
; downloadable fonts, copy and paste the following into
; your WIN.INI file, and copy the .PFM and .PSO file into
; your font directory.
